I think it makes no difference until we have a treatment that modifies the disease.

The cure to neurodegenerative diseases will probably be prevention. You need to (1) predict and (2) administer modifying agent. This study helps check off #1

The problem is that MCI is a late phenotype. Additionally, other forms of dementia, such as FTD, also share MCI as a premonitory state. There is no evidence at such a late stage that intervention could be helpful, and certainly no evidence to suggest that it will benefit from non-AD MCI. A decent study, though.
