Yeah, that's pretty much my rebellion. I occasionally pick up a salad there, and actually their salad bar prices are pretty fair. But mostly I'm too cheap and I bring everything from home unless I miscalculate my mighty appetite.

Also, respiratory phys test did not cover autoerotic asphyxiation. On my note card I wrote that it would cause attempted hyperventilation, increased PCO2, decreased PO2, and possibly death.

Are you freaking kidding me? At, what, 38¢/oz, the per lb. price works out to be over $6. As long as you don't get any dressing or any dense food items, I guess you can get a pretty cheap salad, but I'd rather save my money for a nice steak at those prices! I once made an $8 taco salad because I used too much sour cream.

Oh, and maybe a few additional/working microwaves would be nice too.

If the school ever calls me for a donation when I'm a filthy rich alumnus, I will donate a few thousand on the condition that all the money be spent on microwaves for the cafeteria. Dead serious.

Edit: Also, the microwaves will be reserved for med students only, so the PhD's can't butt in line like they always try to do. You probably know which ones I'm talking about.

Hmm...I've been getting lightweight food items, clearly, things that weigh almost nothing (like spinach and egg whites) or that are usually expensive (like sunflower seeds) that I don't want much of. Then I go out and put on the free honey mustard from the condiments area. So I get a sizeable salad for about $3.00, about what you pay for crappy iceberg and pink tomatoes most places. But certainly I could make that same salad a lot cheaper at home, especially if I get the spinach at Sav-a-Lot.

That's exactly what happened to me on the first phys test. And doing well on the phys final is totally doable.

Doing well on the phys final is doable, I agree. However, if you're anything like me you'll come out of it convinced that you completely failed the thing despite rocking most of the previous exams.

Let's just say they pull no punches.

Joe B. in your class said that the final was pretty hard, but I figure I can get a running head start. It'd be nearly impossible for me to move my neuro grade up, and I'd have to completely wipe out on the final to move down, so I won't put a whole lot of my time into that.

That will probably be one of the few times I think a test is easy and Joe thinks it was hard. Granted... there were some difficult things -- Greene's questions were tough. I made sure I knew my stuff. I thought Stekiel's were easy, then I ended up missing mostly those. I think I showed you my equation sheets. If you want copies of those, let me know. I looked at those right before the exam.

I needed to get less than 17 wrong on the phys final to maintain my honors. I got 16 wrong. At least it's nice to know it can go the other way, after having missed high passes in both Biochem and CTB by one point over the course of the entire semester. Yeah, that's one question on any test, not a percentage point, away from the higher grade.

Yeah, that's one question on any test, not a percentage point, away from the higher grade.

I could only get 10 wrong to attain an honors... I got 11 wrong (91%). I didn't actually think I'd come that close while studying for the test.

Edit: I refused to use a calculator -- I did it all long hand... that was fun, trying to do long division. I'm surprised I didn't miss any points due to my lack of math skills.
