Hey guys,

Does any one have any info related to the MD Anderson center IM residency program. Is it an accredited program? i heard that applicants need not apply via ERAS, how true is that? what are the advantages and disadvantages of that program? Is it easy for one to be accepted?

Thanks

Isn't that just UT Houston?

Any more input guyz?????????????

Comeon..................

MDACC doesn't have an IM residency. UTH residents rotate there. And they have a GIM fellowship program (for those who have completed an IM residency) which is probably what you're talking about. So there's not really anything to give you input on. Other than, perhaps your Google-Fu needs more work.

gutonc has it right.

All UT-Houston resident programs are integrated with MDAnderson. UTMB has always had residents from IM, general surgery, peds, psych, OB/GYN rotate there for oncological related blocks; and several resident programs from Houston-Methodist rotate there as well. MDAnderson does have its own funded cancer related fellowships programs, including General Internal Medicine.
