MD grad at the bottom end of the class - what residencies are realistic?

True, but mine were 1 and 3 when I started. I was lucky to have my daughter out of diapers at least....

It'd surprise me a little to have someone start with younger kids, although I know it happens.
 
Keep in mind I start school this fall so what do I really know, but I have a six month old daughter and my future wife and I are simply trying to budget ourselves based on the $30k in living expenses that I'll get from the feds in loans. Once she's a year old, my spouse'll hopefully get a job as a teacher or something similar that won't take up a whole day and has decent benefits. That's our plan at least, who the hell knows if it'll work, especially since daycare and health insurance cost so much damn money.

PS People putting down food stamp users? Wow, talk about arrogant. Hope you enjoy working in a hospital full of Medicaid patients!
