Hi all,

Just wondering if it's worth mentioning upcoming research projects that I'll be working on during my senior year of undergrad?

I'll be working on two new projects this fall: One in the biology department at my home university and one with a MD/PhD at the medical school nearby that will last year long.

I'm wondering because it will give me a significant amount of research hours that otherwise won't be seen anywhere in my application.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Sure, if you have room, why not-- but I wouldn't waste room on these experiences otherwise, as they likely won't be taken as seriously as your previous/ongoing experiences. You can always talk about new projects during interviews.

Edit: I also wouldn't add the projected hours for experiences that haven't happened (particularly if you have not even started them) in the "total research hours" slot.

Thanks for the input, I wasn't planning on the second half of that post but it's good reinforcement
