No. You have to be approved by the AOA to take the COMLEX. To be approved you have to be a student at an accredited school of osteopathic medicine. The only way an MD student could take the COMLEX is if under some bizarre circumstances they were taking the COMLEX 3 after graduating from a DO school while starting an MD school as a freshman. I can't imagine anyone that would in this day and age go to medical school twice though so I'm guessing it has never happened.
