So, currently, I have two publications in outcomes of infectious diseases. Both are first author and in higher IF journals. I am curious as to whether there are any MDPhD programs with outcomes research as a PhD to pursue? I know my research tract is more clinically based, which worries me that it doesn't line up well with MDPhD programs' research interests and lead to rejections/WL by MDPhD programs....

I am also very interested in infectious diseases and was looking to emphasize this interest, focusing more on this rather than the outcomes research I have conducted.

There are some PhD programs that are focused on on biomedical information or biostats that might align with your research. You can also look for mentors in ID who do more outcomes/clinical focus and ask them if it is possible to pursue a PhD under their designated department. I've seen it done a few times at UCSD while a student there.
