Hi, everyone, is there any formula to calculate "mean daily glucose" after obtaining fasting, 2 h after breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

Thanks in advance!

wrong forum technically. try the Internal Medicine forum.

There are formulas which are used to calculate mean daily glucose, but these are predominantly employed in monitoring patients intialized on insulin pump therapy. The few times I've run across this calculation has been in research surrounding finding alternates to HgA1c for assessment of glycemic control.

In what context are you searching for the mean daily glucose?

Thanks for replying first. 🙂

I am reading some papers regarding GDM and came across this term. In those paper, patients were not using insulin pump. Actually, I am starting a research project. If you can help get this formula, would really appreciate. I'd continue to search too.

It depends on how many points of measurement you have. I'm not certain as to how exactly you come to a mean value when incorporating fasting values with post prandial ones, but know for a fact that there are alot of papers on it. Many of them incorporate formulas to measure the area under a curve, but I don't recall the details. Read this paper and see if their protocol fits what you're after.
