Hi everyone (particularly the Georgia applicants and current MCG students),

Does anyone know of someone who deferred matriculation at MCG for one year for research? (eg. not necessarily b/c of a "personal hardship") Their website notes "only extenuating circumstances", but i know that they're also big on research and very supportive.

I built up a great contingency plan to do research (with graduate student-type funding and project management), and now that I'm accepted I want my cake and to eat it too. mmm. sugar.

Someone else's deferment has no relation to yours, especially if it was in another year. Query the school/dean of admissions directly. Have a detailed proposal for your deferred year.
