Why do they wait until AFTER you submit AMCAS to start the minority recruitment? Schools are sending me brochures and they aren't on my AMCAS 🙁 There is at least one school that I would have considered had they contacted me earlier 😡

I've already added one school to my AMCAS that I decided I should have given more consideration. It was a really simple process and cost the same $30 or so that it would have cost if I had done it originally.

I say consider it now and add them if they look good. It's early yet.

Nubian princess can you please mention which schools are these? I just submitted my AMCAS and haven't heard from any of these extra schools. I might add a few based on your info.

Hmm, well Washington University and Medical College of Wisconsin seem to be contacting alot of people so I wouldn't attribute it to medmar, although WashU sent me a diversity-centered brochure (did everyone get that?).

University of Iowa and Eastern Virginia medical school sent me some stuff specifically mentioning Med-Mar within a week of my AMCAS being processed.

you can just add some more schools to your AMCAS. and if they are actively looking to recruit minority students, the tardiness of adding the schools onto your AMCAS wont make that much of a difference.
