I used the SDN interview feedback feature and read the school's website before each interview. I also re-read the essays I had written for that school so that I'd be ready in case the interviewers asked me about them. All in all, it was a good way to prepare. I wouldn't change anything if I had to do it again.

QofQuimica covers it pretty much. Just be yourself, know your ECs, research, etc well and don't try to memorize anything, if you want you can do a brief outline to some of the questions they'll ask such as your research, or why you want to be a doctor?

I like this, but don't do them at the very end. I got a little burnt out, and to be honest found it harder at the end to answer the same questions with the same enthusiasm. You can develop a going through the motions type attitude if you're interviewing at 6-8 schools.

Other than that I think everyone else is right on. Know your application, look over the interview feedback stuff.

One thing no one else has said is know as much as you can about the individual schools. Being able to point out individual ways you believe a particular school will help you achieve your goals is pretty powerful stuff. If you're interviewing, especially if you're at top ranked schools, you are most likely going to be getting in somewhere. Interviewers know this. A significant part of your job at this level is to convince them that their school is the one for you.

- organize your thoughts, know ur app inside and out, and things you want to bring up even if you aren't asked about.

- SDN interview feedback helps allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllot.

- basically get comfortable "selling" yourself to a complete stranger in 30 minutes to an hour.

-Try to call the schools you're applying for and see if you can schedule multiple interviews for a trip to save money.

-Be prepared to talk about every activity/honors/EC you've listed or referened in your PS. I once had an interview go for 1.5hrs that involved going down the list @_@

-Be prepared to answer the general questions: "Why do you want to become a doctor? What qualties do you have that you think will allow you to be a good doctor? Why our school? What can you add to our X? What do you do in your free time? (Don't say anything nerdy) Which specialty? (very few ask this) Why DO? (if applicable))

-Send thank you letters and LOI's

-Use SDN's interview feedback

-Be liberal with your interviews until your first acceptance. Then be picky.
