Hi, if any of you read my earlier thread you might know of my situation. for those that dont know after pretty much sinking 2 years in HS at a non-reputable (established only 7 years ago) uni, i have decided to finally get my life on track and start fresh. Looking to transfer out and hopefully with a strong 3rd year I would be able to start again on this path.
I'm pretty confused on exactly what i need to do for Med-school, but to my knowledge a stronge cGPA, sGPA, MCAT, and ECs are what a tradional application looks like.
Can someone list me any of the studying habits or tools or routines that they used/or still use when they were pre-med. It would help alot. As-well as what should i persue in terms of ECs at university as well in general (at hospitals, clinics, etc). I'm pretty confused to how exactly do i go about securing research placements, or observership, most of the doctors that i went to ask at clinics plain out said that "they dont hire students since they mess things up"
Do i just simply go talk to my profs about volunteer work and for the lab postions do i need to go talk to a coordinator or will the prof suffice. If someone can answer these questions and give me some guidance it would be appreciated. Trying to start life anew (only 20 years old so still young lol) taking it as seriously as i can. I will make sure to regularly check and contribute to these forums since there is tons of information that i can learn.
Thanks once again.
