i have a question regarding asking someone to shadow, is it okay to ask the med school faculty to shadow or do they devote too much time to teaching classes? i am an undergrad at uci and i was planning on asking some people from uci com if i can shadow them, but im not sure if they do that or not. i dont know them personally, i was on the website and saw their contact info...

Some med school faculty don't do clincal work at all, but for those that do, it might be possible to shadow them. I am going to be shadowing a med school professor next semester, but I got in contact with her through one of the girls in my lab whose husband was the professor's fellow, so I don't know how receptive med school faculty would be to someone that they didn't know. I would definately give it a try!
