Hi All! I've heard several different things from classmates, residents, and an attending regarding the exact nature of my role at ASTRO, as a med student. I would appreciate any suggestions or advice on what elements of the conference are most useful to a med student (with a poster presentation) and which parts would just be awkward at this point in my career (i.e. contouring workshop). In addition to this, what about the ARRO conference on Saturday? Would it be appropriate for a med student to attend this as well? Thanks!

I would definitely recommend attending the ARRO conference - you'll learn tips on how to be a successful Radiation Oncology resident. Don't go to a contouring workshop - you'll have plenty of time to do that as a resident. Other than that, just try not to spill your drink on a chairman and you should be fine. 🙂
