Hey all,

I have a question, I'm going over a CT with dextroversion and corrected transposition in an adult patient. My attending told me the best way to know which ventricle is which is by looking at the valves, should these be easier to see? I can't locate them in a view that shows distinctly whether there are 3 or 2 valves. My attending also mentioned some stripe that identified one ventricle but I can't remember what it was called. Any help with this would be great.

Nope. Follow each ventricle and see where they go. Also in normal anatomy and physiology, you should be able to recognize each ventricle by looking at wall thickness and papillary muscles if it is a gated study. There may be a bicuspid aortic valve, so number of valves is BS.
