For those who have done MA,
1. is the certificate exam easy to pass?
2. what % do you need to get correct to pass?
3. how is the job market for MA? If I'm taking a gap year starting like now and applying 2013 AMCAS, is it worth it to get certified and get MA job?
4. how is the pay and the hours?
5. do you need to go through some sort of school to take the certificate exam or can you just schedule with the prometric center and take it?

Personally, I would try to find an MA position that trains on the job. I'm not sure if it is common everywhere (I live in a big metropolitan area), but I had no problem finding an MA job that trained/didn't require licensing. Then you don't have to waste your money and you can get started faster.

Some people has to go thorough schooling to get certified, which last from 6-10 months. The pay goes from 13-22 $ per hour depending on where you live and the institution you work for.

The answers to these questions really depend on where you live and which college/university you want to apply to..
