Medical Licensing Requirements?

Hello everyone,

When a state says that it is required to finish the USMLE exams within 10 years (for example), and someone finishes the USMLE's within 10 years and 2 months... Is that an automatic disqualification? Or they usually let something like this pass for a medical license?

Do you have an active license in another state already? I've never heard of someone having to retake the USMLE for something like that. My guess is that rule only applies to people who either haven't been practicing medicine for over 10 years or are foreign medical grads trying to get licensed in the US after a long hiatus.
