Medical sales to Med School...

Here we go.. I am 35 years old and have worked in medical sales for 10 year out of college. Throughout the years I have spent countless hours w/ physicians in cases and have developed a genuine compassion for the patients and a true desire to contribute to the medical community as a physician. Here are my stats:

Undergrad BA in business: 3.26gpa
Married
3 kids (love it)

I am ready to begin all of the prerecs for med school and am confident that I could come out w/ a science GPA of 3.8 or better. I have stellar relationships w/ 20+ physicians who would write solid letters of recommendation.

I would like to be able to raise my overall GPA to around a 3.5 by performing well in the 2 years required to complete my prerecs.
Please give me some thoughts, suggestions, words of encouragement etc. Thank you!!

go for it man! kill the MCATs you should be ok at least for DO schools.

If you can raise your GPA to 3.5, with an MCAT of 32 you'll be considered by the less-selective allopathic (MD) med schools. Depending on your state of residency, you might be fine with slightly lower stats if you have a forgiving in-state med school.
