Hi everyone, this is my first post here. I hope this is the appropriate forum for this thread.
I'm a nontraditional student in that I started college a bit later than my peers, and I am about a year out from finishing a technology-related degree. My current job is unrelated to healthcare but my employer generously pays for my degree. I've taken a lot of my classes online, so I will likely have to take an extra year or so of lab classes to complete some pre-med requirements such as biology labs.
My plan for doing this is to get my CNA and work in a LTC facility while pursuing the pre-med requirements that I did not do during my degree. My thought is that I would get experience and clinical hours while doing this, too.
I'm happy to answer clarifying questions. Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.
