MEDICAL SCHOOL ACCEPTANCES!

Accepted to COMP (interviewed 11/27) and waiting to hear from TUCOM (interviewed 12/3).
A big booooo goes out to AZCOM, CCOM, NYCOM, and UMDNJ-SOM.......those schools have had my complete application for like 2 months and they're taking their time deciding to give/deny me an interview. But anyway, once I hear from TUCOM, I won't have enough time to interview elsewhere anyway. It'll be a choice between COMP and TUCOM 🙂

Emil, where do you think you will go if accepted to azcom as well? I agree with you that the $2000 within two weeks payment made the decision to TUCOM that much easier! CONGRATS!!!

I got my acceptance to AZCOM on Sat.the 8th and I am so excited!!
What part of SLC are you from?? I'm from O-town (35 min. north of you). It sounds like we interviewed at many of the same schools just at different times. I can't wait to get out of the deep snow drifts, get off the icy, dangerous roads, and down to the desert for a couple of years of good food, good friends and good fun!!
Let me know what your plans are....(time of year you're moving down, on vs. off-campus living, gripes, triumphs, etc.) keep in touch,

Emil- I hear you on the snow thing- not counting those 3 months of blistering heat- how could you not love the warmth of the valley of the sun?! As far as living goes- i'm looking mostly at on-campus housing. i'm married and my wife really likes the idea of being close to school/work (she's a nurse)- we want to plan a trip down hopefully before May to see what we can find. Do you go to the U? i've only made it to a couple games but the b-ball team is tempermental- sometimes they'll play amazing and other times play like my teachers quorum 🙂 We should try and gather a few more people from utah and have a little get to gether- i'll bring jello 🙂 Hang in there!! Congrats on the acceptance!

I went to Weber and have been working in a research lab since. I interviewed with a couple of hommies from BYU (the same day at AZCOM), but I have no idea whether they got in at AZCOM or whether they'll accept elsewhere for that matter. I don't know of anyone else from Utah going to AZCOM although I'd bet that our conversation will get some bites. We should get together before school starts....does your wife make a mean jello 😀 ?? We could probably reserve a cultural hall in the Avenues or something!! Have any of your premed buddies been accepted at other DO schools???MD schools??

I just found out that i got accepted at NOVA!!!
I'm so excited! I have been waiting for the mail for days and got tired of waiting and just called them. I interviewed on Nov. 30th and they said they sent out the letters on the 6th and now its the 12th. So anyone who interviewed on the 30th and havent heard anything i would call and ask Mary. I loved everything about the school(curriculum, rotations, location) so fort lauderdale is probably where i will end up...congrats to all!!

Try updating your profile to include your undergraduate school and where you plan on going for medical school. This way, it would be easier to find people you have things in common with and any potential classmates. 🙂

I am so excited! My first choice school, MSUCOM, called this morning to let me know that I had been accepted! I guess I was screaming a little loudly b/c they said that I had the best reaction thus far. 🙂 Merry Christmas, everyone!
I was accepted to UMDNJSOM in December. I was very impressed with the school, but am also very interested in PCOM.

I know that CCOM gives out match lists at their interviews (Wasabi?) and I was hoping other schools did as well. Match lists help applicants decide which school they want to attend. Hi all,
I am pleased to add my name to the list of recent acceptees. I just called UHS and they informed my I have been accepted (I interviewed there last Friday). I am just glad to be at this point. It is not my first choice (still waiting for their admissions committe to meet, KCOM) but I know that I will get an excellent education should I end up going there.

congrats ben!! 😀 I interview on the 19th at UHS, any advice? I also have a school in my pocket...takes a little pressure off! I wish I would have applied to KCOM...everyone seems so enthusiastic about the place.
Was recently accepted at Pikeville. Anyone else going to Pikeville?
