medschools care about minor?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They don't even really care about your major, so I doubt if they care about your minor. Maybe put it as a side note on secondaries???

Med school doesn't care about applicant people? :meanie:

Nope, not one bit. They basically just take all the applications, scatter them all over the floor, blindfold the janitor, and ask him to start picking.

OP: No, not really. Minors look neat and all that, but it's not an appreciable advantage. I was one class away from a minor and about two semesters away from a double major in college when I was accepted to medical school -- eh, c'est la vie. 🙂

Mostly MCAT, GPA, Extra activities. Minor does not matter much but Major does. Unless you minored in anatomy and want to bring it up in your interview to show you have taken medical school level course, it wont matter.
