I ran out of time on the PS and couldn't bubble in 10 of the questions. And some of these I had already answered on the booklet! I didn't even have time to guess b/c the proctors were right there and I was in front and I didn't want to get in trouble when time was called. As far as Verbal I didn't have time to answer two of the questions and again I couldn't guess. Biosci is a different story---I am a Molecular Bio major and I felt very good about it. I had time to finish and look over it. I think I was extra motivated after the PS section and lunch to get it right.
Has anyone in this forum ran out of time and forgotten to bubble but still done well and gotten a 10 or above?

i didnt bubble in 3 on ps and I was pissed off about it the whole verbal...that screwed my score for sure
Yeah and you know how on the back of the book for each section it says "There is no penalty for guessing, so it is in YOUR best interest to answer every question," that really rubbed it in for me.

ya man i ran out of time in all 3 sections!!! PS i had to fill in "Cs" the last 5 free response questions, verbal i had 5 min left with 2 passages and thus had to guess on the final 5 questions again and BS i had to guess on the final o chem passage! Jan. here i come.

The time pressure of the real test really is something else, gotta move fast.

aww~~well at least you got to bubble everything in. that's a heck of a lot better than me, there's no guessing penalty, so i lost some potential points, and i'll never know how many.

Same here. I had to bubble a few questions on the PS section and had guess on the questions for the final passage of the VR section. 🙁

I learned that the pressure during the actual test cannot be simulated during practice tests, all of which I finished on time with solid scores.

Well does anyone know of any Test Prep Company advice on this matter? I never took a prep course, tho I spent a *lot* of time studying for this test. Was it better that I understood and spent time on questions to fill them in w/satisfaction and leave *10* blank? I saw some posts in the other threads about Princeton Review's theory that you can leave 2 passages blank and still get a 10?
Well knowing me I will probably dwell on this for a while.

My personal method involves, if it takes more than 90 seconds for me to answer, then I guess and move on. I also write ON THE DESK, the number of that question. Then I always skip the last passage in the sciences and do the discretes first. I figure it's easier to guess on a passage since you can have a general idea of the experiment if you're running out of time. If I have extra time, which I tend to do thanks to rushing, then I go back to the ones I wrote on the desk. Get thru the exam first, so you can get to the easy ones, then the hard ones if you have time. Let's face it, there's a good chance you'll still end up getting the hard one wrong. I'd rather spend my time getting an easy one right over getting a hard one wrong. Leave the ego at the door. It's hard to do.

I also rarely circle things on the sheet anymore, I just go straight to bubbling.
