I am not very familiar with Meharry, but I have applied there, and would appreciate some info about what you think is great about it. In the possibility, I receive an interview.

I had my interview the week before Thanksgiving. One, the people are VERY friendly and show a genuine interest in getting to know you as a person. The school stands firm in its philosophy of serving underserved communities. The facilities and VERY clean--either recently/currently renovated and state of the art facilities with all the the current dental technology. You will definitely get a great education at Meharry no doubt. The small class size 50 students makes it easier to get individual attention esp during clinical training. They have maintained a solid and prestigious reputation over the years. They focus on producing good, quality and highly-skilled dentists and not much on the research aspect of dentistry. However, the institution is VERY costly but offer an abundance of scholarships.

Do not sleep on Meharry; it's definitely an institution worth considering. Wish you all well.....

Cool, Thanks that was a great relpy FutureDMD. I am definitely interested. I knew that they were big in serving the underserved and graduating civil-minded students, which I am all for.

I interviewed there in October and I am still waiting to hear the verdict!

😀 Well I was accepted to the Dental Program in FEB and will be attending this year. I am happy as all heck- it took me 2 years and a lot of money to get here. Has anyone else heard anything?
