Asians (indians) are not considered minorities in dental school so not really advantageous to apply to meharry or howard....but then again it might be worth a shot....sort of ambiguous...sorry

I'm not sure if dental schools break down Asian Americans (AA) by countries, but lumped together according to last years statistics (Class of 2010), Howard accepted 21 out of 787 AA and Meharry accepted 5 out of 79 that applied. I don't think for the most part those odds are great. I wasted my money on both of those schools (of course I am a white female). Their stats alone will lead you to believe they are "safety schools" if you aren't informed enough to know otherwise.

I got these #s from ADEA book

Howard: Enrollees - 90
Asian American - 21

Meharry: Enrollees - 62
Asian American - 5

That shows that I have a very good chance @ Howard...right?

I wouldn't say so necessarily. If you look at my post above, maybe from the same source as yours, there were 787 asian american applicants to Howard. That is really only 2.7% shot looking at numbers alone.
