Meharry Secondary Length

Hey,

i am writing my secondary essay fro the Meharry application and am wondering how long it should be. It seems like you have an endless amount of room. Any suggestions??

You do have a never ending field to type into, but I recommend making sure you want to cover everything you want to say in your secondary. I believe my essay was about a page in length. It is really up to you, but make sure it is enough for them to adequately depict you as a person.

Yes, I agree with tthorst. You definitely want to make sure that your essay has everything that you want to relay. I think that it is a huge advantage to have no type of word limit. You can have the opportunity to really explain your desire to attend the school. And that is exactly what it is--an opportunity, so you should take advantage of it. I advise that you don't write an novel, but don't be shy to make sure it is clear why you want to go to Meharry.

i tried to keep mine short and sweet. they already have a ton to read (your primary, LOR, etc) so don't make it too long..

Yeah, I used a similar response I gave to UASOM's secondary question about providing them with anything about yourself not found in the AMCAS. They had a 1000 character limit, so I had to basically advertise myself quick and to the point and make it look good. I basically used that same response for Meharry's, except I replaced UASOM with Meharry and made a few other remarks about Meharry and Tennessee.
