Hey guys,

Has anyone been accepted off the Meharry waitlist since May 15th yet? Anyone heard anything?

i haven't heard anything yet. i'm also on their waitlist. it does seem like they want you to send in interest or update letters to let them know that you're still interested.

I called a couple of days ago and they still have no word as to where anyone is on the list or how far they've gotten down the pile, just that we are in it. Kinda frustrating.

When I went to the interview, I got the impression from some of the members of the administration that they were very disorganized and not too enthusiatic about the admissions process. The school is not too bad and the students there are pretty cool, as are the professors, but the vibe I got from the administrators was not too positive. The biggest example of this was the horrible tour we got.

I'm sure they will get their act together soon. Also Dr. Moseley does like to get updates and letters of interests. People in the past have gotten in because of their interest. Why else would the acceptance range letter ask for letters and updates be sent directly to him. Meharry is a cool school, and I hope it comes through for all of you. Good luck!

it seems like a lot of people are on this acceptance range list. maybe we should start a support group. 🙂
i've heard nothing, by the way. i wrote an e-mail to mr. mosley last week, and am waiting for him to reply. i'll post if i have any new info about the list.

FYI: According to the admin office, everyone is put on the acceptance range list (even those who have acceptance to the class already) and then ranked and placed into the class so the acceptance range is like a semi acceptance/waitlist. Furthermore, I was told that this week is commencement week so the adcom will be reviewing files come either first or second week of June up until July I think. Keep hope alive. You will probably hear very soon.

So... has anyone heard anything lately from Meharry? I called yesterday. Unfortunately, I was informed not much had changed, and they were still reviewing the students in the acceptance range. When I asked how many (or if it was changing much), she said that some students were calling in and asking to be removed.

Does anyone else have any news to share?

Called yesterday and Mrs. Davis told me that they are reviewing files "as we speak" However, no word on a ranked list or how they pick names out, just "picking over the pile" according to her. Good luck to all of you !🙂 🙂 🙂

AAaaaaaHhh!!!!! This is good to know, but now I'm nervous as anything. Good luck everyone...I know of at least 1 person that withdrew this week - hopefully enough people did the same so we all have a spot. 🙂

Still no reply to that e-mail. 🙁 I never got a read-receipt back, so unless they refused it, they haven't read it yet. So e-mail is probably not the way to go. I would call instead if you need any info.

It seems like they REALLY want anyone thats on the wait list to go the extra mile to assert their desire to go there. I have been calling every other week and bugging Mrs. Davis, she doesn't seem to mind, but hopefully it will pay off. Good luck to ya. Hope that we all make it in

A guy I know just got accepted off of the waitlist on Friday , Jun 6th...I think he will be declining the offer.

Definitely ask for Deborah Davis when you call. She is really helpful and very accessible (well, I've only asked for her once. 100%!)
And acceptances are sent through certified mail. 😉

A little birdie JUST informed me that I was accepted to this year's class, and to expect the official letter any day now.......I'm SURE that some of you guys will be receiving the word soon too....it's only a matter of time ! I will pray for us !I have a good feeling about this.........
