You should hear from them in April... they start school on june 16th. There are 200 students that received an interviews. 40 get in, 10 are on the 5 year track program, 140 get waitlisted, and 10 get rejected. Hope this helps!
 
any news for the people interviewed in feb?
 
i hope so... i think the last set of interviews were some time last month..
 
i got an email saying the decisions will b in april instead of march...so i guess any day now sounds right ?


so does nyone know how may seats are left unfilled?

yea 5 is hard to believe only because i've noticed that some people who were accepted during the early round of acceptances declined.. its possible they might have more seats available now.. keep up the hope guys..

im really confused about what happened to all the people that interviewed from january to march.. if anyone from that time period got accepted please share with us.. all i've noticed so far is all the rest of us wondering whats going on with the waitlist.. 😕

by the way.. max14... how did u find out about the professors?? any in particular??
 
i interviewed in feb and miss connolly email me that i will know the decisions in april ( she told me march before).
I am still waiting, i dont think they have issued any decisions yet for jan to march people....atleast thats what i think!

see thats what i thought too.. but then again its april and everyone seems to be waitlisted those that have heard anything anyway.. but u would expect the spots to be filled more or less only because its so late in the application cycle.. have u checked ur status yet?
 
my aadsas status still says invited for interview but miss conolly emailed me saying that the decision would be made in april instead of march....but i dont know what is really going on?
 
well on this thread that seems to be the general idea for just about all of us... guess we'll just have to wait it out.. :scared: this whole wait process just has me on pins and needles....

The paper in which I recieved said notification would be sent out by the 15th
 
Have anyone heard anything from Meharry yet? It is April 16, and my status on AADSAS has not changed.
 
i called miss conally she said the commitee has not really had a chance to meet because they have been having other meetings that are not related to admissions..... so i guess the wait continues. i interviewed march 10.
 
So I guess around late April or early May? This is cutting really close.
 
i got a letter saying i m now in alternate list! do they take a lot of people from alternate list?

Hey guys,

I just received a letter in the mail saying that I been accepted in their class. Yah, what a relieve. I tried to access AADSAS but I am unable to. Their waiting list is not ranked. Basically, anyone that did not get in is on the waiting list so there are probably at least 100 people on the waiting list.

were you waitlisted at all and what did your AADSAS say before??
 
You guys know what is really weird... I received the acceptance letter on Saturday. Today, I received a letter saying that I am waitlisted. I am so confuse. On AADSAS, it still said invited for an interview. I don't know what to believe anymore, everything seems so unorganized. Tell me what you think i should do.

OMG! I'm so sorry to hear that...I think you might try to call the school to see what going on with ur application. I agree that Meharry is so unorganized. My alternative letter states that I'm an alternative for cycle 2007. How funny is it?
 
wow i feel your pain on that... i cant say i've actually heard anything like that happening before.. i would definately call them and find out whats really going on... hopefully the letters were just dated wrong... i am actually curious to know whether or not the committee has made their decisions yet... everyone after the first set of acceptances seems to be sitting on the fence waiting... its hard to believe they would even invite so many more people to interview if they knew there wouldn't be any more seats potentially available.... 😕

Guys. There is no more hope for Meharry. I just got an email from Ms Connolly saying that the class is full. so depressed right now. I'm an alternative for Meharry, top group for ASDOH, still waiting for the result from NYU, but I'm losing hope. This is the end of the cycle for me...😡😡😡😡
 
at least u have other schools that ur waiting on.. hopefully something works out.. dont lose hope yet...remember spots should open up by May 1st...
 
I called like at least 10 times and there was no respond. I wrote an email and left two messages but she haven't got back to me yet. This is killing me.
 
I just received a call, saying that they do not have my acceptance letter on file; therefore, it was probably a mistake on their part. I guess I am not going there after all. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone.

I think you should try to call the dean or admission office instead of Ms Connolly. I did call admission office before, and they picked up the phone and transfer my call to her. It was the only way how I could reach her. Good luck to you

did anyone else get a pink slip in their alternate list letter that says "this is a class full letter"?
 
yeah, I got the same slip. But it was with a false acceptance letter. What does means.
 
So Ms Connolly confirmed with me today. There was a mix-up, they send out the wrong letter. THe acceptance letter was suppose to be send out in the case that I was taken off the waitlist. Well, what can I say! This school does not represent itself well. I wonder if I can take legal action against something like this.
 
Please stay encouraged guys. If God says this is your year no one can take that away from you. This is my third time trying and I finally got in. I got a call this afternoon. Do not throw in the towel; whether its Meharry or any other school. Ask God to direct you and only the best will come. I have to admit; I prayed and fasted and lived my life in obedience and I trusted God. I used the same scores as last year (not very competitive) and just applied a little earlier. Good Luck and God Bless.

Can you go in detail about your situtation. Were you on the alternate list and they called you? They did not send you a letter of acceptance? They just blankly called you.

I heard that the class is full, everyone paid their deposit so I don't understnad why anyone would drop out. Does anyone know how the waitlist movement is?

did you use the same personal statement because i am thinking of doing just that. i think my personal statement was petty good and i didnt get in coz i applied really late. this will be my second try
 
so i didnt get a letter with this kiss of death pink slip... I thought that if you were waitlisted unless they change your status to accepted you dont get any correspondence with them... so then why are some people getting letters with the pink slip and others aren't... they say the class is "full" and everyone sent in their deposit weeks ago at least... yet SmileyD just got accepted this week.. whats really going on?!?!!?!?! 😕😕😕😕

If anyone knows anything or wants to throw in their 2 cents or even if your a current student at MMC your input is strongly encouraged...

Their are some that put down multiple deposit to give themselves time to make a choice or hear from another school. Some some people can still drop even after the class is "full".

Yea could be... hopefully people drop soon so we can get this waitlist rolling.. i guess the rest of us will just have to wait..
 
Please, if you are holding more than one position, please make up your mind so we can get this waiting list going. Have anyone been accepted from the waiting list?
