I got an app complete email on August 10 and haven't heard anything since then. According to predents.com no one has an interview yet.

i submitted 6/13 but it didnt get mailed till 7/17 and then i had to wait for my committee letter so everything was in around 7/24....i had an application complete from them on aadsas on 8/21

I received an email last week asking me to come and interview for their post bacc program. From my understanding it is a year long program afterwhich if I complete the requirements of the program (maintaining a 3.0) I'll be granted admission for the next year. I was a little disappointed to not get an interview 🙁, however, my stats are pretty low and it could have been worse (like not getting an interview at all for anything). The post bacc interview date hasn't been set yet, but Ms. Connolly, the Admissions Manager, said that it'll be before April 2010.

Hey atleast you got an interview for something!!! I would LOVE to get an interview for the post bac program. I will be applying to meharry soon. Did they tell you the reasons why you were selected for the postbac? How many people are selected?

I would not take that opportunity for granted given your DAT scores and you undergrad GPA. Some schools would just flat out reject you. Listen, that year will go by very fast and the next thing you know you will be in dental school. Just make sure you really focus and try to get all A’s in that postbacc program. For now, make sure you nail that post bacc interview.

After I received the invite via email I searched everywhere for information and came up empty. However, when I called and spoke with Ms. Connelly she stated that when the admissions committee met they believe that I have potential and they saw something in my application that made them want to give me a chance instead of a flat out rejection. She said that the post bacc program will be my chance to prove to them that I can handle the work required of a dental student.

Thanks🙂....I agree with you 100%. And you're right, it's only a year and I've already come this far. The interview isn't until 2010, so I have some time to prepare for it so that I can make sure I nail it!
