hello all.....
Some of you might remember me from earlier this year when I was waiting to hear back from Meharry about the post bacc program. I was accepted and I am in the program now. If anyone would like to know any info about Meharry or the program, just ask. Sometimes you need specific information to make decisions in the future, so I'm open for questions. However, I will answer a couple of questions now before it is asked.
1.How do you get into this program? You don't apply for this program, but you are selected based on several factors that I am not aware of; either your DAT was low or your GPA was low or they were both marginal, but this is all based on my observations.
2. How long is it and what do you do? It is a 12 month program in which we are taking courses throughout the year, like Biochem, Cell Bio, Neuro, A&P. Along with these courses, we have to prepare to take the DAT over again in April of next year, so we are enrolled in DAT prep courses.
3.Can you matriculate in with the first year class in the following year? Yes, if you maintain 3.0 cumlative gpa and make 16 or higher on DAT in every section. You also have to attend all seminars, meetings, individual conferences with directors, and display professionalism at all times. Basically, if you do what you are suppose to, then your seat is waiting for you in the next upcoming class.
Best wishes to all,
Psalmer😀
