So frustrating. There is stuff I want to share (not openly), but I literally trust nobody!
 
Sorry I missed the vote today, was at the zoo all day. Though apparently my vote wouldn't have mattered anyways. Glad to see me being such a ball buster in the last day write up though.

Well think about it this way: you just came out saying you have information you want to share. That in itself puts you at risk. If you don't share with someone you risk the information going down with you. However, if you share you're also at risk, but at least we'll have some more information.

One of our trust memes is sprinting through the rain. Their face slicked with chocolate. Their feet crack through the puddles. It is WTF, sprinting full force away from the main hub and towards the recycle bin. At the same time a shadowy force leaps from building to building above her. Following her. She seems acutely aware of it and is sprinting as hard as she can for the last 100 yards before all of the buildings fall away and it is just a flat track of internet real estate to the recycle bin. The figure cant follow her there without its height advantage, and in a ground fight on open terrain her quick maneuverability will win out over anyone.

As she is about to reach the corner of the last building before the stretch of open land the shadowy figure lands right in front of her. She suddenly stops and falls onto her butt, landing in a giant puddle of chocolate rain. The shadowy figure reaches into its coat and pulls something long out and points it right at WTFs chest. It says "I think you'll be needing this."

"Thank you for the umbrella! Wolfspeaker" chirps WTF "I thought you were trying to kill me. Hahaha." Wolfspeaker now obviously the person offering the umbrella laughs. "No. Just trying to keep you slightly dry in this ridiculous storm".

Together they walk away, chocolate covered, but at least they both have umbrellas now. If only they had kept walking into the recycle bin they would see that some force has brought equineconstant, the surprised kitty back from the dead. Some will say it was the magic in the air, some will say it was the chocolate rain itself, some will even say it was the anger built up towards her brother's killer within EC that wouldn't die and brought her back to life. No matter what, it is a fortuitious day for the villagers.

Alright, I found out that Packen is protected from identify theft. No one can take her role. She's either a wolf and that cover prevents a villager from stealing a wolfy role. Or she's a villager and a wolf cannot take her role. The first one seems more likely IMO.

Or she's a villager and it keeps both villagers and wolves from stealing her role. I've had a stealing role as a villager and stole from another villager (since I didn't know who was a wolf and who wasn't). So besides knowing that nobody can steal her role, it doesn't really tell us anything else.

How is this relevant if your steal was successful? I think the point was that being protected from identity theft can be suspicious. Has anyone ever stolen from a wolf? If the wolves in this game are rogue programming, I can see why there might be protection from identity theft.

You might as well share it with a couple people that you *think* are ok. That way, if one turns out to be a wolf and you die, someone else knows.

How do you know? What information do you have that led you to this conclusion? Do you know who the person was?

I am a villager. It is part of my role, I have protection from "night attacks". Which frankly is not a wolfy ability. You are saying the fact I can protect myself is wolfy, but your ability is identity theft and that's not suspicious? If we are looking for viruses or other malware type programs, one that steals identities would be top on my list.
 
I don't want to say how I know there was a conversion. But it's pretty certain that there was.

I am flying from 7am to noon EST today. Will try to check in again on my layover.

I also should note that is in incredibly out of PP's style not to PM me during the game (and this game I am leader and have a certain ability.) I invited everyone to PM me if they wanted me to use my role specifically and only one of my group members responded. One of the last few times I played with PP, she cut me off via PM and then contradicted me on the thread. Her not taking advantage of getting to trust me is out of character and suspicious now.

Although I did get some weird emotion com post from Nohika when I asked her why she lynched herself.

Also, has there been a character in any WW game that survives all "night attacks" and can only be lynched? Seems a bit far fetched, but willing to go with it if it is plausible.

Uhhh, JJ in the last game we played comes to mind. I know there have been others.
 
So JJ was protected by everything occurring in the night for the entire game?

It's a common game mechanic in the lounge. Don't know about here. Such a person is usually a villager unless converted.

If you weren't trying to steal there identity, then what were you doing? Protection from identity theft doesn't sound wolf to me, it sounds like protection of some sort (from conversion, investigation - which would be wolfish, or attack). Until we know more details of what you were protected from doing...

I'm waiting on a pm, but I may have more info on the firewall...
 
There hasn't really been said anything to answer in PMs. And I'm missing way more of the game than expected, but I had a ton to do this week.

I also realized that I've been too trusting in some games. I haven't had any items to figure out if anyone is trustworthy in the group either. And I just don't have anything useful to say. What I think about stuff is what I post on the thread.
 
it seems each group has some sort of ability, which is known by everyone in each group whether they are wolf or villager, and that those abilities can have some weird outcomes.

Is it better for us to all know what each group can do so that we can be wary of the consequences and help us strategize better? I know that will make all the wolves know, but if a group has at least 1 wolf (and people have been group switching as well), then all wolves should know about the skill already anyway (since the wolves can probably talk to each other), and thus have an advantage over the villagers anyway. Any thoughts?
 
I am not really sure what to say except that I have a protection ability.

Again, why is it wolfy that I am able to protect myself from you stealing my identity? You were trying to steal from me, I protect myself, and I am the bad guy? Please, anyone, investigate me, and you will see that I am just a villager. I can definitely be investigated since that is not an attack.

Also, I get that it is your group's ability to steal identities, but you are the one who keeps pushing to make my protection ability to seem wolfy. Which in turn is suspicious to me. So:

We have mentioned this topic in our group. Whenever a new person comes into the group, we have been open with our role, and they likewise have been open with theirs. I will leave it to our group leader to share. But I see no problem with it. Like you said the wolves probably all know. It is just the villagers who don't.

what was the skill related to Chocolate Rain? Did it have something to do with EC being brought back to life? Did it have something to do with the no kill last night? It seems from DocE's description that chocolate rain prevented last night's kill in exchange for a double lynch today?

This may seem like a silly question and don't get me wrong I am glad that EC is back, but curious.... why resurrect EC when she was linked with happy cat? Why not resurrect someone that did not need someone else?

I guess there may be more about that, that I do not know, but it did seem a bit odd to me.

Anyway... thinking about lynch now... will post both votes in a bit.

Don't know about this whole Trem/Packen thing... I can believe Packen's role is that of a villager... don't trust Trem a whole lot.

Then we have dyachei who is insanity wolf and not sure that I am sold on that being a good meme...

Then I could also go for lynching wolfspeaker as well, she has been very defensive this game... much more than usual and that seems odd too...

So right now my second vote is kind of a toss up between those three...

Anyone else have any ideas?
