Hi all,
Anyone know if it's worth memorizing the CD molecules seen in the leukemias/lymphomas?

For example, do we need to know that CLL is CD5+, CD10-, CD19+, and CD20+?

Thanks! :luck:

Clearly it is important to know the B-cell vs. T-cell markers.

For instance, you should be able to deduce that a mature B-cell lymphoma may express CD-20 and therefore is susceptible to rituximab.

It is more important to understand the concept of why those neoplasms express each marker - ie TdT is a marker of immature blasts. That said, I doubt that the more obscure ones (like CD 23) are important to know.

Anyone know a good place to find a list of the important CD markers that should be memorized?

If you do Q-Bank you will have plenty of interactions with them and sufficient explanations.
