so throw us a line here, why don't you.

can we expect 4th year to be more leisure as to down time, gym time, going to the movies and traveling on weekends?

You'll often be asked by the residents, "you're a fourth year, why are you still here today?" Or "Go get lunch, don't come back afterwards."

During my December rotation I went in a total of 10 days.

During my January rotation I went in twice.

During my February rotation I went in about a dozen times--only because I was really interested in the rotation.

I was off from mid-March until graduation at the end of May.

You should probably find out.

BRS genetics+Pretest
HY Embro
Lippincott/RR Biochem + Lip Q&A Review+Pretest
BRS Histo + Paulsen
BRS anatomy+Pretest+Lip Q&A.

Worked for me.

Thanks for the advice.

Did you read + do questions or just do questions from these books?

how is that a humblebrag when it doesnt reflect on me at all
60 slides a day is nothing

Have professors that like to cram in essays if info, on each slide, and add complicated non-sensicle pathways with mistakes and 60 slides can take much longer than they should. Just my own experience though. If the slide are well made, and make sense, 60 isn't terrible, but that's not always the case.

Ahh those were the days 🙂

Why is it that everyone claims that M2 is so much tougher than M1?
As I understand in M2 you usually take Pathology, Pathophysiology, Microbiology and Pharmacology, right?
Meanwhile in M1 -> Anatomy (with histology and embryology), Physiology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry (with molecular biology), possibly Immunology?
It isn't that much of a difference. Anatomy is huuuuge; likely worse than any M2 subject (maybe depending on school?). Neuroscience is terribly detailed...

I'm actually curious: what makes M2 so tough? (I'm taking pretty much the same subjects this year and I find it quite similar to M1 subjects in terms of volume. They might even be easier -> solid Physiology background helps enormously when it comes to Pathophysiology)
Do you guys take anything else? Or is the year shorter due to Step 1?

Don't forget Genetics and Parasitology in M1.

Oh my god, yes. Probably depends on your school though and what you personally schedule. You will have a lot of traveling for interviews but even with that you can make for a pretty chill year. I only had two rotations the entire year that required me to work on a weekend, and one of them ended up having a resident that refused to let me work on weekends because I was a fourth year and should have been napping or something.
