How did you guys go about successfully memorizing obscure gchem formulas (I have a hard time with constants sometimes) like amt amu-->amt kg. or that half life is .693/decay constant? flashcards?

also, is it just me or do kaplan online quizzes sometimes test you on stuff not covered in their online workshop? Im not taking the course...so is that why im missing some info?

I made a cheat-sheet. After 2 months of practicing with Destroyer, I knew almost all of them. So, I guess the best way is to practice, practice, and practice.
KAPLAN quizzes are not just focused on the material discussed in their workshops. The questions can be from anywhere. I think the best way is to read their review book, before moving on to quizzes!

That sounds like a good idea. I should make one of those before I start doing questions from Destroyer.

Make flashcards of the formulas and memorize them. Learn to round numbers! For example, half-life = .693/k....well, .693 is extremely close to .7. So just make it .7/k. easier to remember and calculate.

As you do problems, you'll begin to see which formulas are used most often and problems will help you memorize the equations.
