guys would you help me out with this question:

Mendel’s law of segregation reflects the fact that

A. linkage never occurs in peas.
B. alleles segregate differently in males and females.
C. each member of an allelic pair of genes enters a separate cell during meiosis.
D. during the course of development, DNA becomes segregated in the nucleus, RNA in the cytoplasm.


I believe the answer is B. Mendel did not know anything about DNA and Meiiosis as we can eliminate choice C and D.

I believe the answer is B. Mendel did not know anything about DNA and Meiiosis as we can eliminate choice C and D.

The answer is C. B is an incomplete answer - for example, two male offspring can have different allele segregation. Mendel, of course, did not phrase the law in this manner, but C is what he was basing it on.

Tetrads are formed by pairing homologous chromosomes (ie chromosome 4 from mom and chromosome 4 from dad). If you have 20 total, there are 10 different homologous pairs. Therefore, 10 tetrads will form.

would you be able to explain this question as well:
