Hi all,
I have a question. I've been scribing for 3 months now. When I first got the call back to scribe, I was on a waitlist to scribe for 8 months, because in my entire city there's only one hospital that uses scribes (lucky me). So, when I got the call I decided to do it.
I applied last cycle and I am waitlisted at 2 schools. Assuming I don't get pulled off the waitlist at the schools, I fully intend to fill out my time commitment as a scribe, which is 1 year (it's not contracted or anything, scribe companies just like you to commit a year).
Should I put scribing in an update to schools? Will schools see me as getting off the waitlist before my scribe time commitment is up (I assume most schools are aware of the time commitment asked of scribes since it is such a common activity) as shady? It really has been great clinical exposure, and I would like to tell schools about it, but I don't want to be seen as someone that doesn't fulfill their commitments.
Thanks.
