Mercer University PT Program

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am! I actually finished with all their application materials last week. I only thought their supplemental essay was strange in that it was more "what do you know about physical therapy?" instead of "why do you want to be a physical therapist?" There isn't a max word count from what I found..mine ended up being 2 pages and ~800 words.

But yeah, I was thinking it was weird how they didn't have a word count. My essay for PTCAS was about 550 words and I was going to aim for around 600 or 700 words here. I actually called admissions several weeks ago and they said that just whatever you decide is okay.

What are your stats, if you don´t mind me asking? I think everything is pretty competitive in mine, except my GRE. The Quantitative part killed me.

I went to an open house at Mercer and they said their first round if interviews will be held on Nov 15, so hopefully we will hear something soon!

Wow you have great stats! Don't be scared🙂

I just got an email saying I was invited for an interview!!!🙂

Me too! See you there!

Also, my school's playing GT in Atlanta that day. I'll be repping the Orange!🙂

Yay congrats!! Hahaha oh no I'm a huge ga tech fan and I was planning on going to that game but now idk if I can

They haven't announced the time yet, unfortunately. 🙁 Otherwise, I'd think about going too.

I got an interview too! ....it's the Georgia-Auburn game. GOOO Dawgs!

I got an invite as well, planning to be there!

I received an interview invitation as well.. i already have an acceptance to a program I really liked and was wondering if I should make the trip for this one. could anyone tell me about their experiences with mercer?

I definitely think that will not be the only interview date. The supplemental and PTCAS materials are due November 17th. Also, they probably will have a LOT of people they need to interview so they may need a few weeks to interview everyone.

I went to an open house at Mercer and they said the two interview dates are Nov 15 and Jan 17. Hope that helps!

What did you think of the school?
Well I'm a little biased because I live 10 min from the campus and Mercer has been my number one choice since Freshman year haha, so I think it's a great program. I've visited multiple schools, and I just know it's the perfect fit for me. I love how it's a pretty new program and I've heard nothing but great things about the faculty (which is a huge factor for me).

Hi! Okay so I am going to Mercer (YAY) but was wondering how y'all went about finding roommates your first year? I'm hoping to get it figured out soon so that I'm not scrambling last minute.

one way is to make a FB group "Mercer DPT 2018" as people join you can figure all that out
