According to PharmCAS: "Mercer University is changing their official PharmCAS deadline from January 5, 2010 to February 1, 2010. PharmCAS will accept applications for this pharmacy designation until February 1, 2010"
So it's still not too late to apply but you will be in the more competitive pool

Yeah I was not very impressed with the experiences I've had at Nova either... I actually go there now for my MBA which I love, but I'm not sure about the pharmacy school. Don't get me wrong its a good popular program, but I just don't want to stay in south Florida. On the other hand I'm extremely impressed with the interactions I've had with the admissions and student services at UF and Mercer... They've always answered every question I've had so quickly. This makes me want to go to either school so much more. I'm almost done with the supplemental for UF... You're so right about it being long! LOL. It was kind of fun to try and answer those questions, but I'm glad I'm almost finished. I heard UCSF has a longggg supplemental as well.
I just received an interview from Mercer about 3 days ago 😀. Mine is gonna be on Jan 29th.
I'm really surprised to even get an interview from Mercer.. I heard they require a minimum PCAT score of 60.. I got 39 on August try, and 56 on October try. So i obviously didn't meet their PCAT requirement. I'm retaking in january.
My stats are not that excellent either. I have a 3.8 cumulative GPA, and I just graduated with a BS in business. My science GPA is about 3.5 (it should stays the same this semester when my O chem 1, bio 2, and calculus grades are in).
I don't really have any volunteer works until these last 6 months. Im currently volunteering in a hospital doing paper works and filing. But I think I have excellent LORs from O chem prof, business prof, and an ethnic professor who is also my advisor. My personal statement is also good (at least that's what people told me when they edit my statement).
I'm still wondering why Mercer invited me to the interview as I didn't meet their minimum requirement.

Good luck at your interview! During my interview session, they said that there are a lot of numbers thrown out there such as 3.0 GPA and 60 PCAT, but each year decisions are made based on the entire applicant pool. So their "minimums" aren't set in stone.

I got an invitation to interview at mercer on jan 29th too. I replied to the email to confirm my interview appointment and got an out of office message saying that they would be back to check emails after january 4th. For those of you who have interviewed at mercer, I was just wondering if they usually email you back after you confirm your appointment because its been a week and I haven't gotten an email from them. I am not sure if I should call or email them again to make sure they got my confirmation. Thanks to anyone who can help!!

It's only been exactly one week since my application was complete, but I was just wondering if they usually stick to the 2-3 week time frame? It says that they will make a decision (I'm guessing interview v. rejection) within those weeks, but some have mentioned they applied back in October with no response. I'm a little worried because the deadline is approaching so I'm sure they're very very busy right now.
I think you should hear from them soon. I heard from them about two weeks after I received an email saying my application was complete.

Okay well that's good news... I think I would really love Mercer so hopefully it's not a straight out rejection but we will see. LOL

I submitted my supplemental about a week ago and paid over the phone. I am wondering how long it took for the $25 dollars to clear your bank account? I'm not worried about keeping enough money in there, but I'm just worried that it didn't go through or something because it is still not showing on my statement. I use a credit union rather than a regular 'bank' so I'm wondering if this is why? 😕
I had the same problem, but I paid with a check through mail. They got the check like a week later ( I called and asked) but for some reason they didn't cash it out till 3-4 weeks later. I wouldn't worry, but if you're still uneasy about it just call admissions.
