Do Rush, Loyola, or UIC have any scholarships? I am trying to figure out if I will only get loans next spring. Thx.

So, anyhow, yesterday I got a letter from Wash U inviting me to apply for one of their merit scholarships. The problem was that I hadn't been accepted yet! This morning I called and they said that my acceptance letter is in the mail.

My question is this: How many people get these invitations? Is it something that they send out to pretty much everyone that gets accepted? If you think about it, you send in all the stuff, and from that pool they pick the finalists who fly out to interview and then from them they pick the recipients.

I am not complaining by any means!!! I just don't want to get all worked up in some false hope. Any input would be valuable. Thanks!

Dude (or dudet..) consider yourself lucky! As far as I know, the admissions committee selectively invites people (but then again, that is what I gleaned from this board; not something I know for sure)...

Just fill out that form (or application) and you'll be set!

Congrats on the acceptance, btw! 🙂

You're right, by golly. I'm going to whistle a happy tune.😀 Knowing what stats I'm up against would be nice, but I certainly can't complain. Whack me up-side the head for a little perspective once in a while. Thanks!
