Method for the Madness?

Are you an athletic trainer? My roommate does that for a local high school, and they work his *** off.

i'm not certified, but i will have worked as a student athletic trainer at my college for three years and will have learned and had enough experience to volunteer at a local high school and offer a helping hand. i have even volunteered with a local high school before.
i wouldn't be looking for a full time position or anything and would make it clear that this is my time to get away from med school and i am not lookin to be there 20 hours a week or whatever. it would just be something like if a school needed help on Friday nights for football games or something.
A Method to the Madness????
There's only one answer and it's Alcohol. Lesson over.
Seriously....binge drinking is the only way
👍More seriously, don't let your support network fall by the wayside. Meaning, talk to friends/family/SO's often and spend time with them when you can. They will keep you sane.
If I wanted to be sane, I wouldn't be going to ****ing med school.
I plan on spending a LOT of time in the gym (well... whatever time I can make I suppose).
That is how I best handle academic stress.
I think the best shape I've ever been in was when I was studying for the MCAT.
I don't drink so that is really all I've got.

The area where I will be attending school has a very active triathlon and cycling community, so I imagine I'll spend some time on the bike. I will also be lifting weights quite a bit.
I also recently got my info for volunteering at Grady Memorial Hospital in the trauma center. I know I'll have plenty of time to spend around that ****, but it is something I really enjoy doing here, and I think it will be theraputic for a few hours each week.

Hmm, to relax? I suppose to learn something new. I've just picked up guitar and I still suck massively, but taking a breather by learning something else seems like the thing for me.
get guitar hero or rock band. it's much easier 🙂

Oh....good ol' guitar hero. One of the MANY reasons why I can't have a game system here, would get absolutely nothing done.
Yeah, I have a friend here that has Rock Band but I just know that once I go play I'll be hooked, so I've been stalling. I play drums and even if it's no where near the "real thing" I still have the urge to go beat on something.

🙁 I haven't been utilizing this method nearly enough.

My exam scores have gone down considerably since my XBOX 360 purchase.
Totally worth it.
Patient: Do you know what's causing my lower back pain?
Student Doctor MaximusD: "Uhh, no but I can tell you how to unlock the P90 in Call of Duty 4."

Yeah, I'd prob be doing both at the same time. Catching up with friends and drinking. 👍

I thought it interesting to see what people are planning to do to balance out their Med School life or have done.
