I read on this forum that if you retake a course you got an F in the new grade counts and the old grade doens't count in the GPA calculation but will still appear on the transcript. Is this true?

To my knowledge that is correct for the AACOMAS application.

I read my e-profile the other day and they did not count my F from sophomore year.

How do you find out what AACOMAS determines your final GPA to be? Do they send you an email?

What about your science GPA? Do they calculate it separately? The AACOMAS application seems to focus on a different set of factors than AMCAS.

Spanky,
You can check that information in your e-profile on the AACOM website. Login to check the status of your application and there should be a list of your calculated GPAs for each year and science/non-science GPAs... :D

Thanks SPUNK!!!!!
