Methods/resources that reflected improvement

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
None of you guys ever increased your score huh? Just 250 diagnostic to 250 step 1? LOL

I'm asking for examples like "after I used pathoma, I saw an immediate increase" or like "once I used Bros for organ systems I was weak in, my score skyrocketed" what helped you push through kinda thing

For those of you studying or have taken the exam already, what are resources or methods you have used that made you see a jump in your NBME score?

Been looking for a thread like this one specifically but couldn't find it.

Thanks

I know this is probably pretty basic but for me I didn't start seeing incremental improvements until I had finished all of uworld and gone over my incorrects. Things seemed to move fast once I wasn't annotating and learning so much anymore and was just able to go through FA and a random second pass of UW questions like crazy all day. At that point I felt that's when I was able to put alot of information in my head at once and then build on it.

So you're saying it's completely normal to feel like I still don't know everything after 1 week of dedicated? Cuz I can't seem to improve my UW score average right now and it takes so long to do 3 blocks + review + going over other resources every day

For sure! I always found it annoying when smarter students ahead of me would say the "UW is a learning tool" line but it really is true. I had long periods where my UW average was the same and my nbmes improved drastically during the same time (about 10 points). The experience with UW questions will help so much day of step in my experience too.

My above thing was suppose to be a reply and I don't know how to fix it because I can't internet very good. Sorry.

Sketchy Micro for me, as I couldn't follow FA's micro block. Even now, post-STEP, sketchy has helped me remember micro facts.
