MFM and surgery

The most an MFM will do in the OR involves curettage (late term), C-Section in a high risk, and some other unique situations, but overall they are far less in the OR than their other counterparts.
There is life in OB-GYN without surgery, but it does limit your marketability. You can do REI (which still entails OR time), MFM (as stated above) or devote your entire practice to OB (which will affect you in terms of malpractice and you still end up in the "OR" to do C-Sections).
Also keep in mind that even though you don't like the OR part, you'll have to do 4 years of it during residency no matter what. You may want to also consider Fam Med since some do OB-Gyn without the major surgical components.
