Has anyone heard back from MGH regarding interview dates yet?
I heard back about an interview as well! I haven't had a group interview yet, and can't find information on how the interviews there are structured. If anyone has any helpful information that would be so appreciated!! What date is your interview? I'm curious if this is the first/only round of interviewsHas anyone heard back from MGH regarding interview dates yet?

Mine is then as well!I got an interview at MGH too! The email I got said February 3rd! Also curious about this interview structure...
Does anyone know if they send the emails out in waves or is it bad if we haven't heard back yet?
When did you apply? I applied in the middle of OctoberI also haven't heard back about an interview...I hope it isn't a bad thing. But pretty stressed about it regardless

I'm a first year at MGHIHP. I'm going to answer these questions as though things are the same as last year, so no guarantees.
There is only one day of interviews. One faculty member per 2-3 students. Random order of who answers questions first. Personal and tailored to you (AKA they actually read your resume and application). Be prepared to talk about handling conflict, why you want to be an OT, and how your studies/experiences thus far will make you a good one. Breathe, you'll be fine.
There will be a lunch/mixer in the middle of the two sessions. Make sure you mingle and talk to professors and staff (think greek rush, haha). I'll be part of the student panel answering questions at the mixer.
Good luck!

Wow thanks so much for your feedback!! You made me feel so much better!!!! How many interviewees do they invite and how many do they accept?
I don't know exact numbers but I remember reading last year that the year before me, they invited ~70 and accepted half. Since we are now the first accredited program (and an awesome one, at that) in NE, I don't know if that will impact how many they bring for interviews.
Also, several people in my class got in off the waiting list. But that's really just luck of the draw with who decides to accept their spot or not.
Anyone else check their email 20X a day for admissions decisions? I am going a bit stir-crazy!
Accepted!! Does anyone know if a facebook page will be made for our cohort? I'm so excited but already stressed about finding housing in Boston.
From previous year threads on here it looks like any admitted student can create the Facebook group.
I can start the FB group of accepted students (even if you're not 100% sure)!
I need one other person to start a group though, so PM me & I'll share the link with y'all!
I was at that interview too, and haven't head anything since!! I feel like it'll be any day now.I am currently waiting for an Admission decision for MGH IHP for their OTD program. I was wondering if anyone else was at the February 2018 interview and has heard anything from them? They said decisions would go out early march but from what I have seen on here most entering classes had heard before the 1st of March.

Yes agreed. I am literally obsessed it's been making me sick. I haven't even gotten in anywhere else, and this school is like so far top on my list, I 1000% would go if I got in no question. And I have no idea why it says through OTCAS, I am sure that OTCAS never informs us about acceptances or rejections!I’ve been checking my email constantly. All past classes have found out prior to March 1st as what I can gather on here. I am hoping an email comes any day now as I have a deposit deadline for another school quickly approaching! I am also curious what they mean by VIA OTCAS because prior communication has been directly through their emails.

Ugh me too, I loved the interview/ orientation day... it was so much better than any of my other interviews. But I'm freaking out because I really don't know if I will get in:/I have been feeling the same exact way! I fell in love with the school when I first visited back in the summer and would go there in a heartbeat if I am accepted. My anxiety every time my phone rings for an email is crazy!

Where else have you gotten in/ what would you be deciding between?
Well congrats on Sacred Heart! I applied to a ton of schools, but VERY late. I applied to NYU, Columbia, LIU, Hofstra, U of Wash, Pacific University, FIU, MGH, San Jose State, and USC.It is so hard to tell because there were so many people there and they only take 38-42 in (estimated). I have applied to MGH, Belmont, Bay Path, Springfield, Sacred Heart and BU (never heard anything back from them)
I have an Interview at Belmont but will be canceling it dependent on if I am accepted into MGH's program. I have been accepted into Sacred Hearts program and the deposit is due tomorrow..! Bay Path and Springfield do not send out their decisions until mid to late March.
How about you?

I was wait-listed at LIU and Hofstra and rejected from NYU. I haven't heard back from the rest of the schools yet (I have interviews at some still in the next few weeks).

I am from Chicago! That is very cool! Nice to meet you all as well. I wonder if there is a fb page created yet? I want to figure out my living arrangements in the next month or so! I can't believe it starts SO soon, I am not ready yet!I got in as well! (got the email this morning! It was just an email right? Nothing on OTCAS? I'm paranoid I didn't actually get in and someone is pranking me) I actually live in Cambridge right next to Boston! I'm happy to (kinda) meet you guys!

Haha I was totally thinking the same thing! I didn't think I did great on my interview so I was so excited this morning. They're my top choice! I was so happy I cried hahaI also thought it might be a mistake, I'm scared to email them w/ questions because I don't want them to realize it was an accident haha
