MHC living in NYC but would like to relocate

I am living in NYC and looking to relocate to CA or FL but I want to get some opinions of where would be better. I am looking for a job where I can start my supervised hours. I am working somewhere now but it doesn't look like I can get the supervised hours needed for my permit...
I really want to be in L.A. but I hear its not good now in CA...
