Michigan has decided to cut their terminal surgery program, beginning this fall.

If the debt difference doesn't make the decision for you, you might want to consider the differences in curriculum. I don't know anything about Michigan, but as far as Missouri goes they have an open curriculum (no tracking). Also, the thing I personally liked most about the Mizzou curriculum is the 2+2 setup (two years of clinicals), so its a very hands-on curriculum.
I would probably go through a pros and cons list, like galen suggested. Good luck (I'm rooting for Missouri 😉)

Mizzou!!!!!!
Mizzou!!!!!!
Agreed!!
*cough cough* Mizzou *cough cough*
Couple of reasons:
-I've been out of the lecture classroom and into clinical rotations for 5 months (since October) as a third year learning real world stuff while a lot of friends at other universities have not yet wrapped up their finals from classes yet, which also means much more time for free blocks to go where you like
-our NAVLE pass rate is usually very awesome! They just announced 100% first round pass for the class of 2010. 😀
-save $$$ both for tuition and cost of living
-milder winters (usually)

To be serious, I would highly suggest choosing the more affordable option. If Mizzou is your IS and will significantly cut back you debt load than go there. 10 years down the road when you are still paying off your loans you will be happy you chose MIZZOU. Even if there mascot is a wuss.

Even if there mascot is a wuss.
Even if MSU students know how to use their homophones...

HAHA! *buuuuuuurrrrn*

😉 Normally I don't fight dirty as a grammar Nazi, but that was a low blow to the Tigers. 😛
That is a great way to decide! Choose the best mascot! Hmm... idiotic turkey like monster named after a type of limestone or tiger...wow, super hard!
Incidentally, the OP is the only person I know of that did not love Mizzou after the interview. Michigan must be pretty awesome! What kind of price difference are we talking about here?

Go to mizzou. I'm rather fond of tigers, myself. 😉
Honestly, though, I think Missouri sounds like an awesome school. If I have to apply again (I hope I don't!) I would definitely apply there even though they focus on GPA enough that I would probably have no chance. I think I would love it. I love Missouri already - so greenand wonderful.
