I am so excited to have been accepted OOS for Michigan State! I plan on paying my acceptance fee to accept my seat for their class. However, I am also OOS waitlisted for both UGA and Purdue, and both wait to start pulling off the waitlist until after the April 15th deadline. My main question is: would UGA or Purdue be worth rescinding my seat at Michigan if I were to get off a waitlist? Tuition wise they are all similar - only about 25k difference between the most and least expensive. I’ll be moving states no matter where I go, so that’s not a huge factor for me. Just curious about others thoughts. TIA!

UGA and Purdue have both had a significantly higher NAVLE pass rate than Michigan State recently (98% at UGA, 92% at Purdue vs high 70s at Michigan), so that may be a reason to choose the others over Michigan if costs are otherwise equal. But really it’s a personal choice. Where you go honestly doesn’t matter a lot in the grand scheme of things. I’d really want to hear what Michigan is doing to improve outcomes.

I was also heavily considering this! Because of the MMI interview format for Michigan, I wasn’t able to ask any questions regarding their program. I’ve heard from current students they are switching the curriculum around, so I’m hoping that helps. Michigan is currently my only acceptance, and I’m so thankful to have been accepted somewhere. I’ll make the best out of wherever I end up! Thanks for your insight!
