Lippincott Microcards are good to hammer stuff into your head... I also use clinical micro made ridiculously simple because they have some funny pictures and mnemonics that help.... but at the end of the day its just repetition and misery.

Ok seriously, how does anyone master all this microbio?

You tap your hidden reservoir of artistic skills.

Does anybody actually remember these things after the class is done? 🙁

I can't say that your drawings don't have any testable material on them, but all I bothered to learn are which viruses are DNA, RNA (+/-; ss or ds), enveloped or not. Then I just learned which are the exceptions to the DNA-nucleus RNA-cytoplasm replication rule of thumb. That's all I care to know about viral characteristics and replication. I actually have no idea what those drawings show.

^^^ yup lol

The trick is to actually enjoy the material

Personally I don't know why anybody is not fascinated by microorganisms, the diseases they cause, and the drugs we've found to kill them.
