I have been accepted to a dental program recently. I need some advice. I am enrolled in Micro this semester, and this class only. It the only one I have put off. Anyways, my professor teach's the class with a wierd angle. He only talks about different types of algae and different food products. I asked him for the outline and the only thing he teach's that might help me understand the human body better is the virus chapter at the end of the semester. It is so wierd how he teach's it. My question is, do I really need this class to prepare me more for d-school?

Nah, drop it. Lots of people in my class have A without any micro exposure before. And here at ucsf we have micro with the master: Dr. Levinson. And the micro department here is extremely good (2 nobel prizes). That means our exams are not at all easy (question similar to the Levinson's book for USMLE1). But people seem to just sleep through the class and get easy A and B.

Micro is not a rocket science. If you want to prep for dental school. Take some wax up class or class for dental tech that teach you to do lab work, that would be more helpful.

Enjoy your time before hell starts.
