I've heard many people say "keep hope, the waitlist moves until the day before classes". What are the realistic chances of getting off the waitlist this year, seeing as it is mid july?

jk...but lettuce be reality. No one really knows. Most people might cheer you on, others will give anecdotal evidence of them getting off the waitlist in as late as August. The truth is, every school is different and no one really knows anything about your specific chances.

If you haven't already re-apped, you should probably think about it just in case.

Plan for the worse and hope for the best brah. Good night sweet prince.

next to none id assume. but as said above its school dependent. The one school i was waiting on for example has 0 spots open and over 100+ people left on the WL . Class starts in 3 weeks. So my chances are nothing. In general id say if you are waiting on a top school your chances arent too good. If its a "lesser" ranked school there might be some more movement but still doubtful as classes are starting soon at many colleges.

Jstone123,

It all depends on your scores and extracurriculars. If you are the best candidate, meaning you have the best GPA and MCAT out of anyone on the list, you will get off the list first. The honest truth is that if you are not, your chances are close to none.

I wish you the best!
