I know that AMCAS explicitly states that college credit attempted in high school should be included in the app, but I've also taken a couple of intro chemistry courses at a university when I was 12. This was before I took any chem classes in high school. I almost forgot that I took these classes until recently.

How important do you think it would be to include this information. I'd prefer not to report this information if I could avoid it.
Thanks!

I'm almost certain that you have to report any and all university classes that you take, regardless of whether you were 2 or 60 when you took them. If you don't report the classes, AMCAS will probably find out that you were enrolled since they can use your SSN to see which universities you've attended. (This is assuming you were actually enrolled at the university and not just auditing the classes)

Better safe than sorry. Hiding grades is a pretty big no-no.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not that keen on hiding the grades. They aren't great but I don't think they'll bring my GPA down much. I'm just thinking it would appear odd and unnecessary

When you are on the waitlist, most top 10 schools request a copy of your middle school and high school transcript anyway for the tiebreaker supplemental statistics, so best to disclose it now. You don't want Harvard thinking you were trying to hide a B do you?🙄

Pfff. Middle school, why not elementry school? I got Straight O's, except in english (S) which will probably be a good determinant of my Verbal score

They need to be reported, and you need to send the transcripts to AMCAS. Not sure if this is your situation or not, but college-level courses (or audits) taken as independent studies don't need to be reported unless you were granted credit for them (i.e. genetics or linear algebra as independent study or during homeschool). Same goes with "elementary school" courses (not sure if you did that, too).

Also, I'm not sure if the powers that be waivered on whether or not you could take those classes, but you might end up with some weird questions during interviews if you have a gap between taking classes. They seemed satisfied after explaining the situation...

wolfie, is that you?

I didn't even realize college courses as a middle school student were an option.

Gunnery Sergeant OP, reporting in.

I'm aware of special courses one could take as a middle school student that are held on a college campus and taught by a college professor, but not ones where you as a middle school student would be alongside undergrads.

It's actually possible. I took a pre-calc course in 8th grade and got college credit for it.

Still not sure if op is serious though:eyebrow:

Look, no one at the graduate level cares very much about what you did during your K-12 career - it's just a nonissue.

Word on the street is that Harvard is asking for pre-school transcripts now. The only reason why I don't think ill get in is because I used to go outside the lines whenever I colored in my coloring book.
